The purpose of this course is to offer a specialized overview of the use of biomarkers in the diagnosis and prognosis of heart failure (HF). The use of biomarkers is now required for a precise diagnosis of heart failure, establishing a prognosis, and guiding the selection of the best feasible therapy. Based on the clinical picture, this course examines the biochemical bases and cutoff levels for the main biological markers used in clinical practice in the setting of patients with heart failure or suspected heart failure.
