Vinyasa-less with Lauren course Description
You will learn everything you need to know to teach yoga to others safely and effectively over the course of four modules. The modules are based on the principles of the Inside Yoga method, which is one of the world’s most modern yoga schools.
- Module 1 – Alignment: A solid understanding of movement requires an understanding of alignment, anatomy, and physiology. This module will teach you about yoga-specific anatomy and physiology. You’ll discover, for example, which muscles need to be activated and which do not, and which movement initiates the pose. In each asana of your yoga practice, you’ll learn the specifics of how the body moves. You can expect extensive functional and practical anatomy sessions.
- Module 2 – Vinyasa: You’ll learn how to structure and practice various asanas in a specific sequence in this module. Vinyasa is life’s movement. Everything is constantly changing and moving. Each of us has gone through the ups and downs of life. There is no such thing as an indefinite period in life. There will always be a point of transition. How does this transformation occur? Which patterns of movement make sense and which do not? You’ll learn to align your breath and movement, as well as examine the movement relationships. Prepare to flow and be adaptable.
- Module 3 – Adjustment: One of the most important and effective tools for yoga teachers is adjustment. In this module, you will learn how to adjust your students discreetly and safely. You’ll get answers to all of your questions, such as, “Where do I stand?” Where and how should I make contact with my students? Expect to learn various adjustment methods for a variety of asanas in order to gain competence and confidence in your teaching.
- Module 4 – Teaching: The final module will teach you how to effectively use all of the tools provided during this training. Your voice, body language, and aspects from the adjustment, alignment, and vinyasa modules will all be scrutinized in greater depth. You’ll learn how to stand in front of a group and teach, as well as how to use your voice and body language to communicate. After completing all four modules, you will be able to take a final exam and receive a certificate of completion.
